Understanding the enormity of your move
Tampa is a busy place. You will be in traffic after you leave your home. This is a good 45 minutes to an hour. You will need some snacks and a full tank of gas to get out of the Tampa Bay area.
We will stop in the Naples area to prepare to cross the state. We normally stop at a rest area with a food court. If you are hungry this is the place as we check the tires and the oil levels. Plus we stop for gas for the truck.
The Tamiami Trail or 75 means a slow truck. Very fast sports cars and crazy mini-vans are driving over 100 mph very frequently. You will be in traffic immediately hitting the metropolitan area. Going downtown or over bridges is going to be even more challenging. Many times we have reserved parking for the truck in advance if downtown. The city has to be notified depending on the area.
